MasterChef - Holy Moly!

Tonight, it was very exciting and I was sitting on the edge of my seat. Christine rocks! Her dish looked spot on! That is insane. She is blind and she works better then most professional chefs. Good for her!

Poor Monti is gone.she did very well and I really think that Josh should have gone home tonight due to his mistakes. Becky is such a cry baby. She has no idea what it is like to go through cooking school if she thinks these judges are hard on her.

I would love to be where she is now!

Hooked on the Logo Game!!!

This was a great game but it really took me a long time. I managed not to look up on line for the answers (okay just a few -very little) which is so damn crazy to me.I could not believe how many I knew or how much I was aware of different logos on television or while I was out. They would just keep catching my eye. My photographic memory is still alive and well. Happy joy joy for me! I completed nine levels.

This Year in Movies - The 2013 movie release schedule is beginning to come together. Nonetheless, a consistent slate of sequels and films based on established properties are looking to dominate cinemas again. In early March, Disney will hope to relive Alice in Wonderland-like box office glory with Sam Raimi’s Oz: The Great and Powerful (based on the Wizard character from Wizard of Oz and starring James Franco).

With the talents of Christopher Nolan as a producer, Warner Bros. Pictures will try to reboot the famed Superman franchise for worldwide audiences again. Similarly, Lionsgate and High School Musical helmer Kenny Ortega will remake the classic 1987 romantic film, Dirty Dancing (after the studio’s lackluster attempt in 2004’s Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights).

A much anticipated prequel to 2001’s Monsters Inc., Monster’s University, will reunite the voice talents of John Goodman, Billy Crystal and Mary Gibbs. Similarly, Robert Downey, Jr. will reprise his role as billionaire Tony Stark and a technologically advanced superhero in Iron Man 3, which will lead off the 2013 summer season in early May. A second installment of the mythology-laced Thor, a Johnny Depp-led remake of The Lone Ranger, the second installment in The Hunger Games franchise, and the 12th feature-length Star Trek movie, will likely be huge box office hits too. Other sequels will include The Smurfs 2, a sequel to the comedy-actioner hit RED, family-friendly Despicable Me 2, and a sixth installment in the revved-up Fast and the Furious franchise. The second part of The Hobbit will open in December 2013

New Order - Wedding

I am doing a mini wedding cake and cupcakes next month. I am excited and nervous all roll up in one.

How bad is it when a stranger tells you that you are being abused? I met this agent a few months ago and went to view houses with her three times. I never talked about myself or my issues. 

I did however learn that her daughter worked for the company and that was all I needed to hear at that point.

I was just in contact with her and asked for her help with setting appointments to view the homes. She agree to help me because she liked me but wanted me to understand that she knows about the issues within our family????

Needless to say I was very upset, embarrassed and felt ashamed. This person is telling to that she wants to help me because she knows I do not get a say, no one has my back and that "there is two kinds of abuse, one physical and one emotional." Well, that was more then I could take at that point. 

I hung up in tears, wanted to die and I feel .... Oh my God I do not even know any more.

Dreamy Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge

From Food Network

Ingredients

2 cups canned pure pumpkin 

1 (18.3-ounce) box fudge brownie mix 

2 tablespoons light chocolate syrup 

2 tablespoons reduced-fat peanut butter, softened

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. 

In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin with brownie mix and stir until smooth. Add chocolate syrup and stir until blended. The batter will be very thick, but don't add anything else!

 

Spray a square baking pan (9-inch by 9-inch works best) with nonstick spray. Spread the batter into the pan.

 

Then spoon peanut butter on top and use a knife to swirl it around. 

Bake in the oven for 35 minutes. The batter will remain very thick and fudgy and it should look undercooked.

 

Allow the fudge to cool, then cover the pan with foil and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Cut into 36 squares. Then get ready for a fudge frenzy!

Old Boss

I just found out that my old boss was asking about me and apparently more questions this time around which is very weird. I wonder what is going on in that woman's head. It would be something if she could admit that she was wrong.

New Start - House Hunting

A new agent - a new hunt begins. Found a few house to view and some good ones to see. I am crossing my fingers and toes and I hope that this time around will be kinder. Found one house that is so charming and well suited. So, it will be amazing if that is the one. Please be the one.

This whole thing is nerve racking and I am not sleeping, again because I am so bloody nervous. I wish I could control this.

I went to the hospital to have an x-ray on my pelvis and hip. I have hair line fractures due to Phoenix killing me because he was jealous and being a huge suck.

The new Ikea book is out and taking a trip to Ikea is never a good outcome. You walk in to get one item but you walk out having much much more. This year they some very nice green dishes and extra kitchen stuff that I would like to have for the new place.

I hate walking through that place. I prefer to go to the market area. The as is area has always been my lucky area. Great prices for more items. IE; my kitchen, living room and family room furniture. I paid less then half price.

The best time to go is at the end of each season. They do their floor changes and mark down the floor models. Just a tip for you!

I was given a huge set of baking tools and I cannot believe how many things are out there to use. I have work with many of the items before but these new ones are insane. It was a very nice gift.

Hotel Hell

Good lord how many shows is this guy going to have? It is crazy but I watched this new one and it is a lot like Hell's Kitchen when he is in the kitchen area. The owners where insane and I felt bad for the staff because they were treated so badly. It does look like to will be interesting and a learning curve for many.

That is what time it is now.I am in the family room because I cannot sleep as always. My schedule is all over the place and it is driving me crazy. I have to find things to do with myself and I am so so so so bored!

Hugoboss is laying on the floor next to me, fast asleep of course. Phoenix is sleeping on the sofa upstairs in the living room. A movie called Eragon is on and that was a good movie. I seen it a long time ago. 

My mind is racing with many thoughts but I cannot get them sorted to write down. I really hate when that happens. I hate having reader's block and of course that is when I do know how to write something good. I do not think that happens often?

I miss having someone to talk to, laugh with and just having someone who cares about me and what I feel and think. The price I have to pay, I know.Will this ever change? Will I ever be forgiven? Questions and there is never an answer!

Phoenix & My Siblings

Okay, so one of the things Phoenix is bad for is that he has nipped a few members of my family. The list is as follow but keep in mind that it really was not his fault.

My sister - the jacket she was wearing had food on it, so he thought she was share. He nipped her hand.

My brother - his tummy and foot got in the way when he was nipped and that was because he was teasing Phoenix, then showed fear.

My mother - her bum and elbow! I am not sure how the bum thing happened but the elbow was because she moved when giving him food, so he missed.

Myself - I was nipped in the arm when my mother went to give him a toy but teased him instead and I put my arm up and he got me. He felt bad about it.

So, you see it really is not his fault. He is getting very old and grey. He has very cute moments and lots of them. He is very playful and most people do not get to see that side of him. He loves Hugoboss and Cairo but will do without the other two cats. He is very happy that the girl cats are all gone, mostly Russia as she would give him the most beatings. Pretty funny to see.

Dumpings

One of the things I remember my grandmother teaching me was how to make dumpings for stews. It was one of the comfort foods that always made me feel better.

I shared a lot of time with her because we came here but I do not remember many things. I remember she called me toots a lot. My mother had her come here while my brother was born and I have more memories during that time. In the end she was bit a trouble maker and nuts. Who knew? I guess it was not a far cry afterall she was my mother's mother.

I try to only think of the better days with her and hold onto that.

Lovely fluffy soft dumplings are for adding to beef stews, as shown. You can add finely chopped parsley to the dry ingredients before mixing for a different style.

Dumplings for Stews Recipe

INGREDIENTS: 1½ cups all purpose flour (210gm) 3/4 tsp salt (4ml) 2 tsp baking powder (10ml) 1/4 cup margarine or butter (63gm) 3/4 cup milk (180ml)

METHOD: Combine flour, seasonings and baking powder in mixing bowl. Cut in the margarine or butter and then mix in the milk to make a soft dough. Separate into 5 - 6 pieces and place carefully into stew, or desired recipe. Continue to simmer the stew, covered for at least 25 minutes until dumplings have risen and are firm. Dumplings can be made toasty by placing pot containing stew and dumplings (ovenproof!) under broiler to finish.
